Free meeting: Research with Results – tracking engagement for medcomms and pharma

A free 1 day workshop will be held in London on the 19th April dedicated to introducing pharmaceutical staff and the wider medical community to alternative metrics and Altmetric. The meeting will explore the opportunities these new metrics bring for further evaluating and reporting on the online activity surrounding published research.

Whether it’s maximising the visibility of your research, uncovering its impact on public policy, or tracking the activity surrounding ongoing clinical trials, alternative metrics can provide valuable insights for publication teams, marketing and communications programmes, and competitive intelligence monitoring.

Organised with the support of MedComms Networking, the day will provide an introduction to altmetrics data, including customer-led case study presentations, interactive discussions and networking opportunities.

Sessions at the meeting include:

  • Using altmetrics for competitive intelligence – Andrew Clark, UCB Pharma
  • Using altmetrics to guide communications strategy – Paul Lane, Envision Pharma Group
  • Altmetrics as indicators of the broader impacts of research – Catherine Skobe, Pfizer
  • Hands-on workshop

Book now to avoid disappointment! Registration is free and refreshments will be provided. You can register here.

Whether or not you can make the event, the organisers would appreciate your input ahead of that meeting with a new Survey that will help inform the discussions. [PLEASE COMPLETE THE BRIEF ONLINE SURVEY HERE]
