The 42nd European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) Conference will be held at the Sheraton Arabellapark Hotel, Munich, Germany from Tuesday 10th to Saturday 14th May 2016. Online registration will open on Wednesday 27th January 2016. For further information see here.

Highlights include the Freelance Business Forum (FBF), foundation and advanced-level workshops, Expert Seminar Series (ESS), Symposium Day and new events such as a poster session, an internship forum and the launch of the Regulatory Public Disclosure Special Interest Group. The 2nd ESS, involving international experts, takes place on the 11th and 13th May 2016 and is aimed at experienced medical writers and leaders involved or interested in the medical writing industry. Topics to be discussed include the impact of clinical trial data disclosure on trial-related documents, the use of EndNote for referencing, medical writing in India and Asia, artificial intelligence and automated authoring, and medical writing for studies with adaptive design.

The 4th Symposium Day will be on the 12th May 2016 and will focus on the role of medical writers as medical communicators. Effective communication and how to communicate to a range of different audiences will be explored.
