It’s Peer Review Week!

Peer Review Week 2017

This week (11–17 September) marks the return of Peer Review Week. Now in its third year, the theme of Peer Review Week 2017 is Transparency in Review. Some 29 organisations, including Sense about Science, ORCID and Publons, plus major publishing houses, have collaborated to put together a series of events throughout the week, focusing on the opportunities and challenges associated with increasing transparency in peer review.

The activities on offer include webinars, workshops, podcasts and competitions. There will also be Q&A sessions, including a panel discussion on September 12th at 5.30 pm CST after the close of  The 8th International Peer Review Congress.  The panel discussion will be streamed live at @PeerRevWeek. As well as highlighting the importance of peer review in scholarly communications, the week’s organisers hope to promote best practices and to draw attention to some of the latest technological advances in peer review.
